Games like Globle
Globle is a daily geography game made by Abe Train and launched in 2022, inspired by Wordle. You guess countries and each guess is coloured by how close it is to the answer. globlegame.co is an independent game of the same kind. We wrote our own code and made our own design and map, and we are not affiliated with the original Globle or its creator.
Types of geography guessing games
- Distance games: you guess a country and learn how far it is from the answer. That is the idea behind Globle and behind our daily country.
- Shape games: you see the outline of a country and guess which one it is. Worldle, made by Antoine Teuf in 2022, is a well-known example.
- Flag games: you guess a country from its flag, often a piece at a time.
- Map and photo games: you look at a place and guess where in the world it is.
What is different here
- An unlimited practice mode with continent filters.
- Distances in km or miles.
- Three optional hints.
- A classroom mode for projectors, with no login and no ads on teacher pages.
- A calm, light design that also has a dark mode.
